Model 3, Tesla’s new model, is finally available for the general public. People can now book their orders. Surprisingly, a lot of people have in fact canceled their Model 3 pre-orders. This is not good news for Tesla. As many as 63000 people have canceled their orders. However, the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, is not really worried.

Musk mentioned that their current work center is still trying to improve the production capacity of Model 3. Since the delivery of the first 30 orders of Model 3, Tesla receives 1800 new orders for the car every day. The orders decreased from 518000 to 455000. However, Musk said this is not a significant change. Musk said that Tesla can increase the orders by making some efforts, but he thinks that shouldn’t really be the company’s priority. Musk said: “It’s like if you’re a restaurant and you’re serving hamburgers and there’s like an hour-and-a-half wait for hamburgers — do you really want to encourage more people to order more hamburgers?”

Tesla wants to meet the demands of its ever growing customer base. According to some reports, Tesla is embarrassed and feel its services are deteriorating. The two analysts from Bernstein Research found that 83% of respondents found Tesla cars again during the visit; 90% of respondents said the electric car had a better driving experience; 68% of the respondents said they would not buy gasoline cars again. At the same time, most of these Tesla owners are using the AutoPilot autopilot system, and think it is Tesla’s best function, they also trust the system on the highway performance.

However, some users are also dissatisfied with the service of Tesla. The survey found that in the 1.2 years of the average vehicle holding time, the owners had to go the service center 1.3 times. Among them, 30% of the owners got an appointment after more than 10 days, 22% of the owners said all their problems weren’t solved at once. In addition, 17% of the owners need to go to the service center 3 to 4 times in order to resolve the problem.
